My my, how things can change overnight! 🌸

Cherry Cottage’s gardens are absolutely bursting into life, and I cannot wait to see what the coming weeks bring 🩷

Every morning there seems to be something new - fresh green growth, tiny buds appearing and little pops of colour where yesterday there were none.

Spring has well and truly arrived at Cherry Cottage… and I have a feeling she’s going to put on quite the show 🌸🩷

How lovely is it to be right in the heart of Bowral, yet still have nature quite literally popping in for a visit?

Beautiful birdlife in the garden, and now this sweet little possum has discovered Cherry too 🥰

We’re very happy to share the garden… although perhaps leave us a few roses, little one! 🌹🩷

Ferris Wheel - a truly wonderful gallery to spend a little time in.

Filled with so much interest, beauty and the unexpected, it’s the kind of place where you can wander slowly and discover something new every time.

And, of course, you’ll be greeted with proper country hospitality by its gorgeous owner Marie 🤍

Beautiful art, beautiful things and a very warm welcome. No wonder it’s one of my favourite places in Bowral.

Lunch with friends, Bowral style 🩷

A delicious little stop at - right in the heart of Bowral.

Healthy, generous and absolutely full of flavour. The kind of lunch where everyone leaves very happy… and very well fed! 😂

And one of the things we love most? It’s within easy walking distance of Cherry Cottage.

Leave the car behind, wander into town, enjoy a beautiful lunch and stroll home again.

Four generations under one roof. Divine! 🤍

So much of the reason we run Cherry Cottage comes back to my love of hospitality - of welcoming people in and creating a place where they can simply enjoy being together.

And it’s stories like these that fill me with joy.

One of our most recent groups travelled from two ends of NSW to celebrate a special birthday, bringing four generations together, right here in Bowral.

From 3 years old to 80-ish, they slowed down, reconnected, celebrated and made memories together under Cherry’s roof 🤍

And really, that’s what it’s all about.

A beautiful cottage is one thing.
But filling it with people you love? That’s the magic. 🩷

To the man who shows up for us, every single day - thank you 🩷

For the big things and the little things. For the fixing, the helping, the listening, the laughing and the loving. For being the one we can always count on, no matter what.

Glen, you’re the steady hand, the problem solver, the handyman, the gardener, the lawn guy, the cameraman… and the man behind so much of what happens at Cherry Cottage and No. 52 😂🩷

But most importantly, you’re our person.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we love you very much.

And to the fathers we had, now gone but never forgotten - thank you for all you instilled in us. For the lessons, the love and the example you set. We are who we are, in so many ways, because of you 🤍

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, fur fathers and father figures out there.

We hope you have a very special day, however you choose to spend it 🩷

Our resident gardener / lawn guy / handyman / maintenance man / odd-job specialist / chief hole digger / fixer of things / mover of heavy things / owner / husband / general dogsbody has been at it again… 😂🩷

Honestly, Glen’s job description at Cherry Cottage is getting a little out of hand.

His latest assignment? Adding these little beauties beneath our feature plants in the front and back gardens 🌿

They’re only little now, but we can’t wait to watch them stretch their legs, spread out and eventually create a gorgeous carpet of green and white underneath.

Because apparently the only thing low-maintenance at Cherry Cottage is me 😂🩷
