🏡 SOUTH SIDE CAIRNS PROPERTY MARKET UPDATE | AUGUST 2026
The August Cotality figures are in, and the South Side is still one of the strongest performing pockets in Cairns.
House values sit well above where they were a year ago, even with a small month-on-month easing through July.
Here is the snapshot:
• Mount Peter | $909,063 | +24.4%
• Bayview Heights | $788,975 | +12.6%
• Mount Sheridan | $785,684 | +16.5%
• Bentley Park | $779,766 | +13.9%
• Gordonvale | $766,376 | +16.5%
• Edmonton | $753,507 | +15.6%
• White Rock | $685,010 | +17.0%
• Woree | $664,847 | +14.4%
And stock is moving fast.
🔥 White Rock 9 days on market
🔥 Mount Peter 10 days
🔥 Mount Sheridan 10 days
🔥 Edmonton 11 days
🔥 Bentley Park 12.5 days
Mount Sheridan led on volume with 192 house sales over 12 months, ahead of Edmonton on 177 and Bentley Park on 167.
Rents are holding firm too, from $610 a week in Woree to $700 a week in Mount Peter and Bayview Heights.
Here is what those numbers do not tell you.
The median is a suburb average. It is not your home. Two houses on the same street sell tens of thousands apart depending on condition, presentation, land size, renovation level and what else is listed at the time.
Owners who price off a median leave money behind. Owners who price off real, current buyer activity do not.
I am appraising homes across White Rock, Mount Sheridan, Woree, Bayview Heights, Bentley Park, Edmonton, Mount Peter and Gordonvale every week. I know what buyers are paying right now, what they are walking away from, and what small changes lift a price before it hits the market.
If you have been wondering what your home is worth in this market, find out properly.
