🏦 ANZ has increased several of its fixed home loan rates by between 0.10% and 0.20%.
The changes mainly apply to fixed rate home loan products. ANZ’s two year fixed rate has increased from 6.29% to 6.49%, while its one-year fixed rate has risen from 6.34% to 6.49%.
Why are rates increasing now?
Inflationary pressure in Australia remains high, and the market is concerned that the RBA may raise the cash rate again. Banks’ expectations regarding future funding costs and interest rates are often reflected in fixed home loan rates first.
If you are planning to buy a property, apply for a home loan or refinance, remember to reassess your borrowing capacity and estimated monthly repayments, not just the property price.
