Bryant Building Contractors

Bryant Building Contractors BRYANT specialises in commercial construction for the private and public sector including the mining industry, health, education, and community facilities.

Brisbane | Cairns | Gold Coast | Toowoomba | Sunshine Coast | Rockhampton | Darwin We're quality builders, with particular experience in commercial buildings and government and community facilities. We've built everything from schools to mining accommodation; child care centres and aged care facilities; to university buildings, sporting complexes and police stations. Bryant specialises in remote and challenging locations and the education sector. Our approach is founded on one simple philosophy: We strive to exceed customer expectations. For some this might mean we design sophisticated value engineering solutions to ensure their construction goals and budget align. For others, it’s the rare pleasure of finding a clean and safe worksite at the end of the day. Not once, but every day during the project. As a construction company, our core business relies on delivering your project on brief, on time and on budget. If we meet your expectations, we’ve done a pretty good job. But if we exceed them, you’re more likely to do business with us again. We find it’s a great approach to business. And our clients seem to like it too.

Last week, teams across Bryant came together to recognise R U OK? Day – taking time out across our offices and project sites to connect, check in with one another and start conversations that matter.

From morning teas and BBQs to team catch-ups on site, it was great to see our people getting involved across the business and reinforcing a simple but important message: a conversation can make a difference.

R U OK? Day is an important reminder that you don’t need to be an expert to check in with someone. Taking the time to ask “Are you OK?”, listen and genuinely connect can help someone feel supported – not just on R U OK? Day, but every day.

A big thank you to everyone who organised activities, took part and shared photos from around Bryant. Take a look below at how our teams marked the day.

And remember – ask R U OK? Any Day.

The Better Challenge is here again!

There are some amazing organisations out there that provide huge support to kids and families navigating their way through the battle of childhood cancer, The Kids Cancer Project being one of them. This organisation devotes all its time and donations to funding research projects with a mission “To support bold science that has the greatest chance of clinical success to improve childhood cancer treatments.”

So how can you get involved?

TKCP’s Better Challenge initiative runs for the month of September and challenges everyone to raise money while logging 90km of movement – Walk, Run, Ride. Why the 90km? Because 90 Kids are diagnosed with cancer in Australia each month!

It’s a great cause and we really encourage f you to get involved in whatever capacity you can. Every dollar we raise could make an incredible difference in the lives of kids dealing with childhood cancers. Plus if you are like us, it is a great opportunity to motivate yourself to start shedding the winter coat… and get out and enjoy the beautiful weather of September!

Take on the challenge and do BETTER for kids cancer research!

We’re pleased to share that Bryant’s Girraween National Park – New Visitor Information Centre and Upgrades project has been recognised at the 2026 Master Builders Downs & Western Housing & Construction Awards, taking home the award for Tourism and Leisure Facilities up to $10 million. 🏆

Located within the spectacular Girraween National Park, this project involved the delivery of a new Visitor Information Centre, amenities block and carpark with accessible pathways, together with interactive signage and visual displays and an upgrade to the existing Rangers Station.

As the largest capital works project undertaken by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), the development was designed to sit sensitively within Girraween’s unique natural environment while creating an inclusive and engaging hub for visitors to explore and learn more about the park’s natural and cultural significance.

Project Complete🎉

Our West End team has successfully completed the 41 Edmonstone Street development in South Brisbane, delivering 18 high-quality social housing apartments within a well-connected inner-city precinct.

Designed in accordance with Liveable Housing Design standards, the development includes a mix of Gold and Platinum Level apartments that prioritise accessibility, durability and long-term liveability. A standout feature of the project is its striking façade, inspired by the colours of a West End sunset, creating a unique architectural statement within the South Brisbane streetscape.

Constructed on a highly constrained urban site adjacent to Brisbane State High School and public recreational facilities, the project required careful planning, detailed logistics management and close stakeholder coordination throughout delivery.

The completed development contributes valuable inner-city housing supply while supporting inclusive, connected and sustainable communities.

Thank you to all of our subcontractors and suppliers!

👏 Congratulations to the project team:
• Farren Mahoney (PM)
• Conrad Whitehead (CA)
• Stuart Loughney (SS)

🌿 Another successful project officially opened 🎉

Last week, members of our Toowoomba team attended the official opening of the Dandabah Day Use Area and Campground project within the beautiful Bunya Mountains National Park.

The event was attended by representatives from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), along with Deb Frecklington MP and Bryson Head MP, highlighting the significance of this important tourism and community infrastructure project for the region.

The feedback received on the completed works was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees impressed by the quality of the facilities and the outcome achieved within this unique natural environment.

A special congratulations to Paul York (PM/CA) and Darryl Green (Site Manager) for their outstanding efforts in delivering this project. Their commitment, planning and attention to detail have helped create a facility that will be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

And, true to Bunya Mountains form, the official opening was accompanied by plenty of rain — a fitting reminder of the environment in which this project was successfully delivered! 🌧️

Well done to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

This week, our teams came together to mark National Reconciliation Week with morning teas across our offices — a small but meaningful moment to pause, connect, and reflect.

We shared conversations about reconciliation and why strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples matters — not just this week, but every week.

These conversations are how change begins. 💛🖤❤️

Another successful project delivered by our Toowoomba team 🎉

Nestled within the stunning Bunya Mountains National Park, the Dandabah Day Use Area and Campground project has provided significant upgrades to visitor infrastructure aimed at improving accessibility and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The works included construction of a new interpretive centre building, refurbishment of existing amenities and approximately 150 metres of suspended timber boardwalk integrated within the surrounding natural environment. Additional elements comprised a new timber bridge, stormwater infrastructure, roadworks, extensive concrete pathways and landscaped areas, together with free-standing stone pitched retaining walls designed to complement the natural character of the park.

Working within an environmentally sensitive national park setting, the project required careful planning, detailed trade coordination and proactive procurement to deliver high-quality finishes while preserving the natural landscape.

Congratulations to the project team:
👏 Paul York (PM / CA)
👏 Darryl Green (SM)
👏Terry Charles (HSEQ)

A sincere thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life and contributing to the successful enhancement of the Dandabah visitor precinct.
