The banks are all tipping a rate hike at the end of September. I'm calling it now, I don't think it's happening.

Here's the kicker. The RBA meets on the 29th, but the inflation data doesn't drop until the morning after. They'd essentially be making the call blind.

Are the banks reading the tea leaves right, or setting you up to panic for nothing?

Start smart. Use the government schemes if you’re a first home buyer. Rent out spare rooms to cover the mortgage. Don’t get stuck in the 30-year trap and finish paying off one house in your 60s.

It’s not get rich quick. It’s get rich by doing the work and letting time do the rest.

Stamp duty makes up 15-17% of state revenue in most Australian states.

That's the exact reason property prices won't fall off a cliff. If volumes and prices tank, state revenue tanks with it. And no government is going to sit back and let that happen.

I cannot actually believe we are still talking about housing shortages but I reckon we will still be talking about housing shortages in the next 5 years .
