A little bit of life lately…
46 years old. And the greatest thing I’ve gained isn’t something you can see in a photo. ❤️
This birthday felt different.
I found myself reflecting on the years gone by, the lessons life has taught me, the challenges I’ve overcome and just how much there is to be grateful for 💯
The night before my birthday, I watched the 25th anniversary coverage of 9/11. I still remember waking up the day of my 21st birthday and hearing Dad say, “We’re about to see the start of World War III.”
It’s incredible to think about that moment and everything life has brought since.
A year ago, I was preparing to compete at the Queensland Titles, not knowing it would be the last time I’d see my dad or give him a hug for the last time. 💔
Less than two weeks later, he was gone 🥲
Life has a way of reminding you what really matters.
At 46, I’m 115kg, under 6% body fat, and probably the healthiest, happiest and most at peace I’ve ever been.
I’m proud of the work I’ve put in, but the biggest transformation hasn’t been physical.
It’s been learning to live by my true north, to stop trying to please everyone, and to appreciate the beautiful life I’ve been given.
After 18 months of battling insurance following the cyclone, our home is finally almost ready. Another difficult chapter coming to an end and a beautiful new one about to begin with my girls 🥰
When I look at these photos, I see so much more than a birthday or a physique.
I see family. I see love. I see growth. I see a life I’m incredibly grateful for every single day
Dad always said your best years are 40-50 and I have to say it’s true 👌
And I know Dad would be smiling looking down on us. ❤️
Life isn’t always easy, but it is incredibly beautiful.
Peace is my new success. ❤️
