Working within heritage constraints often means getting creative. This project requires sections of structural walls to be removed while maintaining support for the load above. This involves ‘needle propping’ – a temporary support method used to carry the load of a wall while the section below is removed to install a new structural beam.

Here, our Site Manager, JC, talks us through how we can safely remove these sections while preserving the structural integrity of the hanging wall. This is a clever solution that helps us make way for the new while respecting what was already there.

Works at the International Airport have taken flight. Steel has been installed, waterproofing is complete, and the joinery is prepped and ready for installation at Manna. Once complete, this space will be a welcome haven for excited travellers about to embark on adventures across the globe. Keep an eye out as this one takes shape!

Flagstaff Gardens Hotel Melbourne in Melbourne is undergoing a major transformation, and we’re taking you with us to see the progress so far. We’re giving the hotel rooms, ground floor dining area and lobby a new lease on life, as well as the external cladding of the building. We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses!

We kicked things off with a tour of the space we delivered alongside before turning up the heat with a workout and a well-earned morning tea overlooking Melbourne’s C*D.
