We could reach seven figures within just weeks!

Some key points:

- Growth of apartments and townhomes more than doubled that of houses over the quarter, demonstrating a flight to affordability, easy maintenance and lifestyle

- That growth in multi-residential dwellings was the strongest gain for the quarter in any capital city market

- The value divide between houses and multi-res dwellings has narrowed to a 3-year low

- Some of the biggest gains in the multi-res market were seen in Brisbane’s west - up 6.9%

While supply proves enduringly scarce for attached dwellings, the demand profile in our market, driven by downsizers as well as interstate and international arrivals, is fuelling increased competition for that very limited resource.

For all these reasons we were very excited to find a home that offers space for distinct, separate zones where we can spend time as individuals, or gather together as a family. The latest Proptrack figures have been released, and Brisbane is continuing to outperform other major capitals, as forecast for the past couple of years.

Brisbane home prices have reached a new peak of $853,000 for all dwellings, after a 13.93 per cent jump over the year, while the median house value has grown 13.42 per cent to $951,000.

PropTrack economist Paul Ryan claims “It may well be the case that Brisbane can support price levels that are above Melbourne forever,” he said. “That may be just an appeal that Brisbane has compared with other cities.”
