Completed in January 2020, Southbreak was an important next chapter for Lacey Group.

Set between Kirra and Bilinga, it was one of the first boutique developments in North Kirra, created at a time when the area was only just beginning to show what it could become.

The vision was clear: create a coastal address that felt calm, considered and genuinely connected to its setting.

Southbreak delivered 20 two and three-bedroom apartments, two double-storey penthouses and a residents-only rooftop sanctuary moments from the beach.

But the project was never just about the number of residences.

It was about understanding the rhythm of the place, respecting the lifestyle that draws people there and creating something that felt like it belonged.

Shaped by the shore and the village atmosphere around it, Southbreak helped set a new tone for design-led living in North Kirra.

When Lacey Group began its first Gold Coast project, the focus was clear: choose the right location, work with the right people and craft spaces with intention.

For a long time, it was seen by many as a place to visit. A holiday destination. A coastline, not a city with long-term depth.

Today, the Gold Coast is home to a more mature economy, stronger infrastructure, growing industries and a new level of confidence in its future. People are no longer choosing between lifestyle and opportunity. Here, they can have both.

Where it all started: The Jefferson, Palm Beach.

Construction began in early 2018 on Lacey Group’s first Gold Coast address, just moments from the beach on Jefferson Lane.

At the time, Palm Beach was a stretch of coastline many overlooked. We saw what it could become, and built for it before the market caught up.

Completed in 2019, The Jefferson set the tone for what would follow.

It marked the beginning of an approach that would guide every project to come.

For Adam Lacey, it was also personal. A debut project on the Gold Coast, built in the place he calls home. The beginning of a legacy.
