Does anyone know of a licensened plumber that is available ASAP to quote to install a new outdoor tap/ wide pipe etc in a client’s back yard? I need to install irrigation but the existing narrow pipe and small tap won’t carry what I need to do. Client is happy to pay for your time, parts etc and I am more than happy to meet you there to walk you through it. The sooner the better so I can rescue his back yard!

Look at the beautiful Milky Way and night sky I captured west of Cobar. Then the moon came up and it was gone. Yes, that orange gliw down the bottom and then the ball is the moon, not the sun!

Home again after 6000+ km of the most beautiful countryside. Free camping, mostly in random bush spots, in our fully off-road, self contained van. Obviously too many stops to mention and feature here, but here’s a snapshot of some.

This vast country is a contrast of colour and texture that changes every few hundred kilometres, it seems. One minute it’s red soil and saltbush, trees everywhere, then mulga. Lush then dessert. We’d hoped to see a lot of native wildlife and were not disappointed. Also - about a million wild goats.

More than 6000km and more than a dozen free camping, fully self-contained sites clocked up - in the bush somewhere, usually by ourselves. Here’s a selection of our favourites. And our little house never once was unhitched.

For those interested, our three canine backseat drivers have been excellent travellers and travel companions. Sleep mostly, with walks every 2 hours, max. The big fella, Cooper, took a while to adjust to van life, Chippy (the baby) and Dashie go with the flow, but they are all troopers.
