Peter was born in Southport, Gold Coast and attended Guardian Angels, then Aquinas College followed by The Southport School from grades 6 to 12. Sophie was born in Mosman, Sydney and attended Loreto Kirrilbilli on the Lower North Shore from Prep to Year 12. Peter attended the Western Sydney University and Sophie; Sydney University where she attained a Bachelo

r Degree. In 1988 Peter joined the premier office of Raine and Horne at Double Bay in Sydney. In 18 short months Peter built a loyal following and when the business was sold he decided to open his own real estate practice in Mosman on the Lower North Shore. Sophie started her career in Advertising in the media department of Lintas. She later travelled to London and worked for America On Line (AOL) in their advertising department. Upon returning to Australia she ended up as the Group Sales Manager for John Fairfax Group/ Sydney Morning Herald. Peter owned and operated McManus Real Estate in Mosman from 1990 to 2012. Sophie worked with Peter and became the licensee of the business in 2005. Following the birth of their eldest daughter in 2008, Peter and Sophie decided they wanted to come home to the Gold Coast and raise their three children, Elizabeth, James and Victoria. The business was then sold to existing staff members of McManus Real Estate. The McManus family returned home in October of 2012. Peter Senior was Dealer Principal of Peter McManus Holden in Southport for over three decades and Treasurer of the Gold Coast Turf Club. Peter and Sophie were keen to get to work and offer the service that made their business successful in Sydney. On Tuesday, 2nd April 2013 they opened the brand new real estate practice called Peter McManus Real Estate. Since April 2013; Peter and Sophie have successfully sold and managed a diverse range of properties using their extensive Sydney and Melbourne contact base and over 45 years combined experience.
