We appreciate the stress, burden and uncertainty that an unconfirmed date of settlement places on all owners - and for that we are truly sorry.
Unfortunately, at this point in time despite our best efforts, and the Builders, we still don’t have any further information we can add to the previous correspondence you have received. We have never seen a climate like this before in the construction industry, one where we are operating in unprecedented times. There have been delays with labour, materials and extreme cost escalations, and now we are seeing the full effects of this as the builder pushes our joinery, stone and wardrobe suppliers who have struggled to deliver within the required timeframes. When you have just one trade lagging it can push the whole project out. There is frustration on both our part and the builder as we try to manage these trades in the current environment.
We don’t have any dates for settlement, as we are still waiting on Plan Sealing (from Council) and then title registration (State Government). The only date we will have is once the titles are registered as we can then call for settlements by way of providing you with written notice. This will provide you with 14 days notice to settle.
Prior to settlement we will provide a pre settlement inspection which we will arrange with you when the time is appropriate.

We trust that you had a lovely Christmas with family and friends over the holiday period and are excited for the year ahead, particularly your relocation to Vantage Burleigh.
GCB Constructions were back working on Monday and we have seen sub-contractors coming back to site this week and we will see a gradual build-up of sub-contractors to full capacity throughout the remainder of January.
At this point in time we don’t have any further information, however we can confirm GCB are continuing to work and push their various sub-contractors to finalise the different aspects of the build.
The building environment that we are in, has been particularly challenging - supply issues; difficult contractor terms and conditions; lack of staff. These have created conditions that are not ideal.
We are working through the requirements necessary for plan sealing with Gold Coast City Council and once completed will proceed for title registration.
Purchasing off the plan is a little different in that there are a number of moving parts - with the last stages being Gold Coast City Council (for plan sealing) and Department of Natural Resources (for title registration). These government departments are outside of our control.
We can’t provide a date, but we can assure you that once we have received title registration you will be notified and given 14 days in which to settle, this is the only date that we can confirm once registration is achieved.
Our next communication with you will be to arrange a pre-settlement inspection. This will occur once we are given the go ahead.

ROOFTOP POUR - ONLY WEEKS AWAY!

At Vantage Burleigh, construction onsite is progressing well. We had a concrete pour for Level 14 on Friday 15th July. We expect the concrete roof pour to take place at the end of July, capping off the structure of the building - making the tower enclosed. The windows and doors have been installed up to level 10.

GCB Constructions are also powering ahead with the internal finishes; sheeting of the internal walls to level 9, installing joinery (kitchen, bathrooms, linen cupboards and laundries) to level 5.

Whilst Queensland has had many weather events over the past 6 months, we are working to our timeline and anticipate delivery of your apartment in December 2022.

With all the attention the building and construction sector is facing, particularly around cost escalation and labour shortages, it is understandable that you may have some questions, so please feel free to contact our office on 07 5675 3700, as Jo will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
You will be delighted to know construction is progressing well, despite the recent weather events on the Gold Coast and we are still on track for completion in late 2022.

For those of you who like construction detail, March has been a hive of activity, with levels 5 & 6 already poured and level 7 scheduled to be poured at the end of this month. Moving forward you will notice a level will be poured every 2 weeks, fingers crossed the sunny weather continues!

GCB have also commenced the initial install of services and we are seeing great progress with the finishing trades starting on the lower levels.

Off the back of the recent news relating to some builders collapsing, we are happy to report GCB have completed six vigorous financial audits to maintain their building licences, all audits are passing with flying colours. It is also worth noting that none of their nominated subcontractors are tied up with the collapsed builders. BUILDING HERE WE COME!!
