📣 "Attention Burpengary East: Aerial Mosquito Treatment Scheduled!"
Heads up Moreton Bay! Our mosquito management team will be up in the air this week. ☝️🚁
An aerial mosquito treatment will commence Thursday 22 January 2026 and continue Friday 23 January 2026, commencing at 5.30am.
Aerial treatments in northern areas which will commence on Thursday including Uhlmann Rd, Burpengary East, Beachmere, Ningi, Donnybrook, Toorbul, Elimbah, and Bribie Island.
Followed by treatments in the southern areas on Friday including Rothwell, Clontarf, Kippa-Ring, Griffin, Mango Hill, Lawnton, and Deception Bay.
You can assist to reduce mosquito numbers by:
🦟 Emptying any containers that may contain rainwater.
🦟 Change the water in bird baths and pet bowls regularly.
🦟 Keep your swimming pool chlorinated.
🦟 Use insect repellent when you’re out and about.
The Vector team are continuing to monitor areas across the region and complete on-ground treatments utilising long-acting mosquito management pellets and briquettes, in conjunction with barrier and fogging treatments, to reduce adult mosquito numbers.
