📣 "Attention Burpengary East: Aerial Mosquito Treatment Scheduled!"

Heads up Moreton Bay! Our mosquito management team will be up in the air this week. ☝️🚁

An aerial mosquito treatment will commence Thursday 22 January 2026 and continue Friday 23 January 2026, commencing at 5.30am.

Aerial treatments in northern areas which will commence on Thursday including Uhlmann Rd, Burpengary East, Beachmere, Ningi, Donnybrook, Toorbul, Elimbah, and Bribie Island.
Followed by treatments in the southern areas on Friday including Rothwell, Clontarf, Kippa-Ring, Griffin, Mango Hill, Lawnton, and Deception Bay.

You can assist to reduce mosquito numbers by:
🦟 Emptying any containers that may contain rainwater.
🦟 Change the water in bird baths and pet bowls regularly.
🦟 Keep your swimming pool chlorinated.
🦟 Use insect repellent when you’re out and about.

The Vector team are continuing to monitor areas across the region and complete on-ground treatments utilising long-acting mosquito management pellets and briquettes, in conjunction with barrier and fogging treatments, to reduce adult mosquito numbers.

From 11am, Thursday 22 January, the temporary gravel access to Heritage Park will be permanently closed. Access will be via The Avenues, travelling through Heritage Avenue, Barnett Avenue and Ludlow Avenue. Directional signage will be in place to guide you.

Upcoming night works for North Harbour Boulevard Traffic 🚧

UPDATE – North Harbour Boulevard Traffic Update 🚧

Night works at the Buchanan Road roundabout connection with North Harbour Boulevard and Trafalgar Drive have been delayed by one day.

To complete the final asphalt surfacing, open the new westbound lane, and remove the old Trafalgar Drive connection, a full road closure will now be in place over three nights:

🗓️ Monday 24/11 – Wednesday 26/11
⏰ 7pm–5am each night

During these times:
🚗 The Buchanan Road roundabout connections with North Harbour Boulevard and Trafalgar Drive will be fully closed.
🚗 The roundabout will remain open to Buchanan Road and M1 traffic in both directions, under traffic control.
🚗 All traffic will be detoured via the Uhlmann Road exit in line with TMR-approved traffic guidance.
