Did anyone spot Cosi while he was in the region?

He certainly covered some ground during his visit, and one of his stops was the much-loved St Just Café & Gift Store in Burra.

You'll be able to catch the visit when it airs on South Aussie with Cosi on Channel 7, Sunday 14 June. Keep an eye out, you might even spot a few familiar faces from around town!

If you haven't visited St Just before, make sure it's on your list next time you're in Burra. Whether you're after a toasted sandwich, BLT, wrap, lasagne or the ever-changing soup of the day, it's the perfect place to refuel while exploring the region.

Before you leave, take a wander through the gift shop. Packed with antiques, jewellery, gifts and quirky treasures, you never know what you might discover.

Who's planning to tune in on 14 June?

Check out Mogs Cafe for great coffee and an assortment of yummy food while staying at Kooringa Cottage Burra - Bed & Breakfast.

Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend is here… which means wine is calling, cheese boards are waiting, and someone sensible probably needs to line their stomach first. ☕🧁

Enter: breakfast at Mog’s.

If you’re staying in Burra, passing through, or heading to Clare with big “I’m just having one tasting” energy — come and start properly.

Coffee. Breakky. Cabinet goodies. And this pistachio cupcake, who clearly dressed for the occasion.

Australian Traveller recently gave Burra a lovely nod as part of the Clare Valley experience, calling our town full of old-world charm — which is very kind.

We’d also like to add: old-world charm pairs beautifully with caffeine and cake.

🌾SOURDOUGH BEGINNER’S CLASSES🌾

🎟️Tickets for all classes still available.
May 30 class tickets will be closing soon.

If you are wanting to jump into the world of sourdough, and feeling overwhelmed by the abundance of information out there, these classes help you wrap your head around it all.

I have consolidated all the important info into a 4-hour class which takes you from feeding & caring for your starter through to fermentation and finally, baking a delicious loaf.

All class participants receive a Beginner’s Toolkit which includes all the tools needed to carry on at home & create stunning loaves.

When expressing her gratitude for the class, one participant said: “Now I feel like I can survive the apocalypse” - this is from a complete beginner, who can now whip up some amazing loaves, even adding “inclusions” and having full confidence in her sourdough ability ❤️

Come and check out our beautiful little town.

Burra might be small, but it has a long history of bringing people together.

Since the discovery of copper in the 1840s, Burra quickly became one of South Australia’s busiest and most important towns, drawing miners, families and visitors from across the world. Over the years, it’s played host to everything from bustling markets and railway travellers to community gatherings, events and celebrations that have helped shape the town we know today.

And this week has been no exception.

From the high-energy excitement of the Shannons Rally SA - Rally Heartland, to welcoming attendees of the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association conference, , and now hosting the Australia International Council on Monuments and Sites- Aicomos (ICOMOS) 50th “Back to Burra” Conference, it has been very busy in little Burra.

It’s a reminder that while Burra’s history runs deep, it’s still very much alive.

If you’ve been thinking about a visit, now is the perfect time. Come and experience the charm, explore the heritage, and see why this little town continues to welcome people from near and far.
