Meet Jo! 🌸👋

Our resident flat-pack queen, the life of the party and Bindi’s second mum — Jo brings plenty of personality to the Sandy Bay team! 🐾💛

A fellow caravan dweller, she knows a thing or two about life on the road… although how she finds room for all those shoes is still a mystery! 👟😂

You’ll often find her with a cup of tea or coffee that’s gone cold while she’s busy doing something else. We think she’s holding out for someone to invent a self-reheating mug! ☕️

We love having Jo as part of our Sandy Bay family. Be sure to say hello when you see her around the park! 🌿

Travelling to Busselton with another couple? Our Swiss Chalets now have another bedding option: two queen beds! 🛏️🛏️

We’ve said goodbye to the trundle beds in some of our chalets, making these a lovely option for two couples who’d each like a queen bed.

The two-queen setup is available in selected Swiss Chalets, so please request it when booking. We’ll confirm availability for your stay. ✨

Meet Shelby 👋✨

Next up in our staff introduction series is Shelby, one half of Sandy Bay’s management team and the creative mind behind many of the ideas, events and improvements happening around the park.

Originally from the USA, Shelby now lives full-time in Myrtle, a 1973 vintage caravan, with Curtis and their much-loved park pup, Bindi. 🐶🚐

She’s usually awake for F45 before sunrise, rarely misses a good content opportunity and is always planning Sandy Bay’s next little makeover. Her favourite words may just be, “Curtis, I have another idea…” 😂

Shelby loves creating thoughtful touches that make the park feel welcoming and is incredibly passionate about making every guest’s stay at Sandy Bay a memorable one. 🌿🌊

Meet Curtis 👋🔨

Next up in our staff introduction series is Curtis, one half of Sandy Bay’s management team and the man behind many of the park’s repairs, renovations and improvements.

Originally from New Zealand, Curtis can fix almost anything, would never say no to a day spent watching the NRL and firmly believes garlic bread counts as a complete meal. 🥖

He’s also Bindi’s alleged favourite person—although that title is still under review—and is very familiar with hearing the words, “Curtis, I have another idea…” 😂

We’re incredibly lucky to have his hard work, practical skills and laid-back Kiwi attitude helping keep Sandy Bay looking its best! 🌿

Next up in our Meet the Team series is a true Sandy Bay veteran—and Bindi’s number-one fan—Sonia! 🧡

✨ MEET SONIA ✨

Sonia has been part of the Sandy Bay family for four years, making our chalets sparkle and helping ensure every guest arrives to a beautifully clean stay. 🧹✨

When she isn’t working or showering Bindi with attention, Sonia can usually be found enjoying seafood or adding to her truly impressive collection of 30,000 Macca’s points. We have questions. 😂🍟

She may love seafood despite not being able to swim, but thankfully that hasn’t stopped her from fully embracing life by the bay! 🦐🌊

We’re very lucky to have Sonia’s experience, hard work and warm personality on the team. Be sure to say hello when you see her around the park—although Bindi will probably get the first greeting! 🐾

Next up in our Meet the Team series is our animal-loving, camera-wielding nap champion—Lucila! 💜

✨ MEET LUCILA ✨

Lucila is one of our wonderful housekeepers, helping to keep the Sandy Bay chalets sparkling for our guests. When she isn’t working, you’ll usually find her behind the camera, writing, hanging out with animals—or enjoying a very well-earned nap. 📸✍️🐾

Her camera roll is approximately 3% humans and 97% animals, and we’re fairly certain she’s 50% human and 50% koala. 🐨😂

Lucila brings plenty of creativity, kindness and smiles to the team. We’re so lucky to have her at Sandy Bay!

Be sure to say hello if you spot her around the park—unless she’s napping! 👋
