It’s not every day you can spot a prehistoric creature right on the beachfront, but in that’s exactly what you’ll get! 🏝

The Cassowary is an evolutionary relic, having first appeared millions of years ago. Some believe it to be the closest living relative to dinosaurs and Etty Bay is definitely one of the top cassowary spotting locations in the region 😯

Sights of Visit Palm Cove at sunrise 🦜🌅

Even if you're not a morning person, this spot is definitely worth the early wake up ⏰

Just 30 minutes north of , is a tiny beachside village centred around an esplanade lined with trees upon trees 🌴☀️

Walk around barefoot, choose a bike instead of a car & buy fresh seafood for a sunset barbecue on the beach 🦐🌺 You can hire a kayak & paddle right off the beach or head out to nearby 🏝 The Palm Cove jetty is a great fishing spot, with plenty of Spanish mackerel, cod, whiting, stripeys and flathead to be caught 🎣

After shooting to stardom on social media in 2016, the Cardwell Spa Pool has remained one of the most famous stops in Explore Tropical Coast Queensland thanks to its beautiful blue waters 💙🌿

If you’ve ever wondered what causes these bright blue waters, we’re here to help! The science behind the colour can get a little complicated but geological experts suggest that the blue colour is from the chemistry of the rocks & water resulting in high levels of dissolved magnesium & calcium in the water 👩‍🔬
