🌧 Wet Season Update – Hands On & Monitoring Daily 🐴🌿
A little transparent wet season update for those who have been checking in.
We’ve been out there daily (and some nights) walking fence lines, checking creek levels, and making sure everything is holding up the way it should. So far, the paddocks have handled the rain incredibly well.
Because the land sits on a natural slope, drainage has been doing its job and we haven’t had any major waterlogging. The creek has only just come over the bridge briefly and hasn’t posed a risk — but we’re still monitoring it closely. Wet season up here means you don’t get complacent.
The grass growth has been insane lately — plenty of feed, very happy horses, and solid ground underfoot.
We’ve fenced off another paddock and only have one fence left to complete. Fencing is secure and well maintained, with electric upgrades planned in the coming months.
We’re also looking into bringing sand into the shelters after wet season to further improve comfort and footing.
At this stage we only have one paddock left to fill before we’re full. We’re really proud of how the property is tracking through the weather and the effort going into keeping it that way.
