EMERGENCY CONTACTS during Tropical Cyclone Alfred🌊
▪️In an emergency always call Triple Zero (000)
▪️SES for non-threatening storm and flood assistance 13 25 00
▪️Contact Energex if you have lost power 13 62 62
▪️Contact Sunshine Coast Council to report damage to Council property, fallen trees etc 5475 7272
▪️Check the latest weather, warnings, rainfall, and river heights at the Bureau of Meteorology Queensland website
▪️Check road closures at the QLD Traffic website or for phone service call 131 940.
Local Disaster Coordination
The SES are at Caloundra Rugby Union Football Club - 81 Arthur Street, Caloundra - 8am - 8pm with sandbags.
Caloundra Indoor Stadium is swerving as an emergency evacuation hub should it be required.
Sunshine Coast Council’s Disaster Hub is the central source of official updates, including road closures, evacuation centres, emergency contact list and a link to local ABC radio 90.3 to keep up to date with emergency announcements.
There will be no residential bin collection services Thursday and Friday, normal services will resume on Monday
We ask all businesses to secure bins and anything loose on your premises in a safe location.
Post-Cyclone Recovery
Once the cyclone has passed, the Sunshine Coast Council will conduct impact assessments to determine business needs and coordinate support.
