Long autumn work trip coming up? Here's what actually makes it bearable.

A few weeks into a hotel stay, the novelty wears off fast. Once you're somewhere proper instead, a few things change: your own washing machine instead of hotel laundry prices, a decent desk and lighting for the darker evenings, a kitchen for something warm and home-cooked, and parking right outside instead of a walk across a dark car park.
