π₯π Canberra has been named the second-best city in the world for quality of life in the Oxford Economics Global Cities Index.

According to the index, the quality of life category encapsulates the wellbeing and satisfaction of a cityβs residents, reflecting the intersection of various socioeconomic factors.
Canberra earned its ranking on high life expectancy, high educational attainment and lower income inequality, but was marked down on less economic diversity, more natural disasters and lower internet speed.
Canberra was beaten to the number one position by Grenoble in France, but is the only non-European city ranked in the top ten for quality of life.
