e to community service organisations, other non-profits and individuals. In 2016, we are proud to support Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation as our Charitable Giving partner. The foundation was founded in 2012 by Suzanne Tunks in honour of her child Stella Isabella who was only nine months when she lost her short life to a congenital heart disease in 2010. Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation is a local charity that supports seriously ill children and their families. They offer support through the Little Star Beads Program, giving children beads for specific medical procedures and milestones in their treatment. The foundation also gives much needed financial assistance to the families within the program, including food, petrol vouchers and grants for equipment which enables parents to care for children both in hospital and at home. They have also covered rent and mortgages for a period of time. During 2016 Blackshaw Real Estate will be providing over $20,000 in financial funding to families though the Stella Bella Foundation as well as offering volunteers and professional assistance. The foundation is in the hospital’s, in touch families and social workers, and receives calls nearly daily for requesting this type of assistance. We are very proud to be providing this type of support through Stella Bella Foundation to families in our region. We know that it will make an immediate difference to those who really need it.
