🚨 Another Day, Another Parking Issue at Canberra C*D 🚨

Today, a vehicle was stopped for an extended period in the Pick-Up Zone directly in front of the ALDI loading dock.

These areas exist for a reason:
✅ Pick-up and drop-off zones are for short stops only
✅ Loading docks must remain accessible for delivery vehicles
❌ They are not parking spaces

When drivers ignore the signs, it creates unnecessary delays, blocks access for deliveries, and causes frustration for other road users.

Please take a moment to read and follow the signs. Respecting parking rules helps keep Canberra C*D moving smoothly for everyone.

🚫 Another Day, Another Parking Problem! 🚫

Aldi Wright

Another day, another vehicle blocking access to the loading dock.

Loading docks are designated for deliveries, service vehicles, and businesses that rely on timely access. When access is blocked, it causes delays, inconvenience, and unnecessary frustration for workers and businesses.

Please be considerate and park only in designated parking spaces. A few extra seconds finding a proper spot can save a lot of trouble for others.

🚗 SMART CAR BUYING: THINK LONG TERM, NOT JUST THE SHOWROOM PRICE 🚗

Many buyers get caught up in flashy features, giant touchscreens, and the latest technology. But the smartest car buyers focus on reliability, maintenance costs, and resale value.

🇯🇵 Japanese brands have earned their reputation for a reason.
Brands like Toyota, Mazda, Honda and Subaru are known for:
✅ Proven reliability
✅ Lower maintenance costs
✅ Strong resale value
✅ Easy access to parts and servicing

⚡ Don’t rush into buying a new EV just because it’s trending.

Electric vehicles continue to improve, but many owners have experienced:
❌ Faster depreciation
❌ Uncertain long-term battery replacement costs
❌ Lower resale values compared to traditional Japanese petrol and hybrid vehicles

A car is not just a purchase — it’s an investment that affects your wallet for years.

💡 Buy the car that will still make financial sense five years from now—not just the one that looks impressive today.

What would you choose: a proven Japanese hybrid or the latest electric vehicle?

🚕🤖 DRIVERLESS TAXIS COULD BE COMING TO AUSTRALIA!

A future that once seemed like science fiction may soon become reality, with autonomous taxis being considered for major Australian cities.

These self-driving vehicles are already transporting passengers in parts of the United States, and now attention is turning to whether the technology could work here in Australia.

While supporters say driverless taxis could improve road safety, reduce transport costs, and provide greater convenience, others have raised concerns about safety, regulations, and the impact on jobs within the transport industry.

🚦 Would you trust a car with no driver behind the wheel?

👇 Share your thoughts in the comments:
👍 Yes, I’d give it a go
😮 Maybe, but only after it’s proven safe
😡 No way, I prefer a human driver

✅ Please park only in marked customer parking spaces.
✅ Be mindful of loading docks and service access areas.
✅ A few extra steps can help keep traffic flowing safely for everyone.

Let’s all do our part to keep our local shopping centres safe, accessible, and running smoothly.
