I thought it was time to do an introductory post, since I've never really done one.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Janet, the founder of Home Lawyers & Conveyancing.

I grew up in Wollongong in a traditional Macedonian family and was part of a vibrant community. It is where I learnt the importance of three things that have become the core values in my business:
1. Trust
2. Hard work
3. Integrity

I relocated to Sydney after getting married, and now I am a proud wife and mother of two boys and a fur baby.

Here are three things you may not know about me (and may surprise you):
1. I played school girl soccer (and was not too shabby if I do say so myself) ️⚽️
2. I love Macedonian folkloric dancing and can still dance "the sitno" in the highest of high heal shoes 👠
3. I am a Francophile, pop culturist and have a burning desire to learn to play the drums 🥁

Today is National book Lovers Day, and today I find myself reminiscing about one of my favourite books, "Captain Corelli's Mandolin", penned by the very talented Louis de Bernières.

The story revolves around the lives of two main characters: Captain Antonio Corelli, a member of the 33rd Infantry Division Acqui, who possesses a passion for music as profound as his commitment to the military, and Pelagia, a fiercely independent Greek woman who finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Antonio's charms.

Their love story is the usual mix of boy meets girl, girl hates boy, but boy is adorable so eventually she falls for him.

I love this book because it's the perfect mix of history and romance, something that I can always immerse myself into with a glass of red wine.

Also, the movie starring Nicholas Cage & Penelope Cruz is one of the only times a movie has enhanced the beauty of the written word.
