Well, here’s a fact: Most of Australia’s home sellers are scammed. Yes, that’s right – thousands of decent and trusting family homeowners are being over-charged – deliberately and ruthlessly – when they place their homes for sale.

"I have followed Neil Jenman for over 20 years.
I have used his advice from his books and articles when dealing with agents when selling a couple of investment properties.

We had another investment property to sell in Brisbane (which we had never visited as we live in another state) so decided to contact Neil’s office. The treatment we received from the initial phone call was outstanding.

They suggested an agent who was out of the area where our property was located. The service, suggestions from the agent (who took care of everything - mowing minor repairs etc) and the end result were unbelievable.

I only wish we had another property to sell! The final selling price was over 100k more than the agency who were our property manager’s appraisal, plus they wanted us to pay advertising and more commission than our Jenman approved agent.

If you are selling and DO NOT use a Jenman approved agent or at least follow Neil’s advice, then you will most certainly lose money."

I can't begin to tell you how helpful and caring they were...they are passionate about their work and were GENUINELY interested and concerned with my agent underquoting me and not listening to me. “I have made contact with the support staff on a number of occasions over the past 7 years. Always have found them to be courteous and helpful with advice and recommendations. In that period I successfully sold directly (by private treaty) two homes, one in Brisbane, Qld and one in Lismore, NSW. The advice provided in Jenman books and articles definitely aided me in obtaining BHPs (best highest price) for each residence. However, don't be dismayed by disparaging remarks and statements by agents who don't appreciate the Jenman way of selling. Your gain is their loss! Here's how it works:

At a public auction, your reserve is revealed to everyone in attendance. All the buyers know your lowest price. Yet you, the seller, never discover the buyers’ highest price.

This is typical of agents. They always focus on the sellers’ lowest price instead of focusing on what’s most important - the buyers’ highest price.
