Western Sydney Lakes is more than a destination.

Today, the site supports emergency services training and is home to major projects including Nepean Aerospace Park and Nepean Business Park , alongside established assets such as the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

These are just some of the opportunities already taking shape across the site, with more to come.

During the ongoing rehabilitation of Western Sydney Lakes, the site has become home to a variety of native Australian flora and fauna.

Across the site, the revitalised waterways, wetlands and open space have created an environment where local and native species can flourish.

More than 220,000 native trees have been planted throughout the site, creating an environment where more than 80 bird species have been recorded, including Black Swans, White-bellied Sea-Eagles, Peregrine Falcons and migratory species such as Latham’s Snipe.

As Western Sydney Lakes continues to evolve, future recreational, tourism and urban amenities will sit alongside these natural environments, creating a destination where people, places and nature can thrive.
