💧 Our colleagues from Building & Energy want homeowners with Pro-fit Typlex 1050 pipes, made by Iplex Australia, to be aware they can register for a free leak detector unit.
💧 If a leak is suspected, the unit can automatically shut off the water flow into the home, minimising damage. The leak detectors will be fitted free of charge in eligible homes, even if the builder is not participating in the Industry Response.
💧 Register at - https://www.perthpbresponse.com.au/leak-detector-units

These measures apply only to Typlex pipes, which were installed between 2017 and 2022.
See the FAQ sections of both websites for advice on issues with other types of pipes.
Consumer Protection also has a fact sheet for people who are experiencing issue with pipes that are NOT Typlex 1050 - https://www.consumerprotection.wa.gov.au/publications/polybutylene-pipes-wa-homes-factsheet
