Rural agents from across Australia just raised $25,000 for charity – while swapping the kind of business intel money can't buy.
First National Real Estate's 2026 Rural & Regional Muster brought members to Albury-Wodonga for three days of shared strategies, real talk and regional pride.
The standout moment? A charity auction where delegates donated unique items from their own regions, raising $25,000 for the First National Foundation – with $10,000 going to Yes Unlimited, a local organisation working to end homelessness.
But Rural Chapter Chair Rohan Ibbs says the real value happens between sessions.
"No two rural markets are exactly alike, but many of the challenges we face are remarkably similar," Rohan said. "Learning from colleagues who have already found successful approaches allows everyone to return home with fresh ideas and greater confidence."
The event wrapped with a field day through north-east Victoria – local producers, local businesses and the kind of conversations that only happen face to face.
It's a reminder that in regional real estate, your biggest competitor in another town might also be your best resource.
If you work in a rural or regional market – what's one idea you've picked up from a peer that made a real difference in your business?
