Important road closure 🚧

The Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road intersection will be fully closed from 8pm today, Friday 18 September until 11.59pm Thursday 24 September while final major works are completed as part of the intersection upgrade.

Detours will be in place throughout the closure, and residents are encouraged to allow additional travel time when moving through the area.

When the intersection reopens, the new traffic lights will be operational and all lanes will be open, marking a major milestone for the upgrade. Minor finishing works will continue through to the end of the year.

🚲 Pump Track Upgrade Works

We know the pump track is a favourite with our community, so we’re making it even better!

The pump track will be temporarily closed from 21 September – 2 October while we complete upgrade works to improve the experience and enjoyment for all ages.

September is Biodiversity Month, and the City of Casey has a range of activities happening across the local area to help residents discover the plants, animals and insects that call Casey home.

From spotting local flora and fauna as part of the 2026 Biodiversity Blitz, to discovering bees and butterflies or heading out on a night safari in search of moths, spiders and other nocturnal insects, there’s plenty happening for nature lovers of all ages. 🌱🦋

It’s a great excuse to get outdoors, explore our local environment and learn a little more about the biodiversity in our own backyard.
