Check out the Melbourne renewable energy hub at Plumpton Victoria. It's a joint venture with the Victorian SEC and features a massive 600 megawatts (MW) of capacity. This compares with what we have been acquiring for (ie micro BESS's) at 4.9 MW. It's pretty exciting really to think this technology is helping to replace the capacity lost with the closing of coal generators. In other words it stimulates the viabiilty of clean energy generation by saving power from peak production times. Anyway information on it is here...

Just finished uploading our sites wanted list for a national automotive retailer wanting 34 sites across Vic, Tas & Albury Wodonga. But there is no stopping these household brand automotive retailers. Brand exposure is key for these companies, and therefore any new store will need to be in a high-profile location with easy ingress and egress to the site and sufficient car parking. Businesses will require around 400 sqm to accommodate a fully compliant tyre-fitting and auto service workshop, with a minimum of 6 bays. As tyres are stacked above the workshop, a minimum roof height of 6.2 m is required in at least part of the workshop. Cost to build will vary, but as a guide, a new store location will cost approximately $1.5M. This retailer will pay a starting rental of $130–$140k per annum, and selling yields on completed sales have been circa 5%. This retailer is also keen on discussing conversions of existing buildings. This will be a game changer if true. According to this report, growing sheep is actually better with solar panels than without.

China has developed a car battery powered by sodium (salt) rather than lithium.
