This ANZAC Day, Carlyle Gardens Townsville pauses to reflect on the bravery, resilience and sacrifice of those who served our nation.

We also acknowledge the many veterans, families and loved ones within our community whose stories and service continue to inspire us.

Announcing our 2026 BlueCare Artwork Calendar winners! ✨🎨

We received 150+ heartfelt entries from residents and support staff across BlueCare, and 28 artworks have been selected for our “Celebrate Every Moment” calendar. 🖼️💙 Huge congratulations to all featured artists — your creativity and stories shine! 🎉

📅 The calendar heads to print soon and will be distributed to BlueCare retirement living villages, aged care homes, and respite centres before the end of 2025.

Over 90 ladies joined us at Carlyle Gardens for a fabulous fashion parade, thanks to Thats Me. The gorgeous outfits -- all wash & wear with no zips or buttons 🙌 -- were a hit! Followed by a delicious afternoon tea. What a wonderful event! 💙👗☕

Carlyle Gardens Townsville have done it again and raised over $6,000 in support of the Cancer Council Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. With more than 200 guests, student volunteers, goody bags, and a raffle of numerous donated items including a beautiful quilt — it was a true community celebration. 🥳

Sunshine, Smiles & Puppy Cuddles 🐶☀️🍕☕😀

After some recent wild weather in Townsville, the sun has finally came out—and so did the smiles! 🌤️ Residents at Carlyle Gardens enjoyed a beautiful day filled with puppy cuddles, coffee, cake, and plenty of pizza. 🐾💛

With school holidays in full swing, it was extra special to welcome visiting family members who joined in the fun. Sharing these joyful moments across generations brought even more warmth to the day.

It was wonderful to see everyone come together to relax, laugh, and soak up the sunshine. Sometimes, the best kind of therapy has four paws and a wagging tail!

But that wasn’t all! 🎉

Around the village, the sewing ladies were busy quilting and celebrating a special 80th birthday 🎂🧵 The card club were deep into their 500 games 🃏 The hair salon was buzzing 💇‍♀️ and an exercise physiologist had residents moving and grooving during a group session in the Carlton Theatre 💪🧘‍♀️.

It was a perfect snapshot of village life—full of warmth, laughter, and community connection. 💙
