Shuck & Shell 2026 🦪🌊🌿 this was the 2nd year and what an incredible provincial seafood festival you were!

Set against the wild beauty of Wallis Lake and the Barrington Coast, this celebration of local seafood brought together the very best of our region. Those Wallis Lake Sydney Rock oysters farmed by were sensational.

From world class oysters and freshly caught blue swimmer crabs 🦀 to the passion and skill of our local fishermen and oyster farmers, every element reflected a deep connection to place.

The artisan experience extended beyond the plate, with incredible live music by Ilan Kidron 🎶 and a standout bar curated by Wharf St. distillery featuring their signature oyster infused gin 🍸 Thanks to the team Flock and Fork for being the consummately professional caterers you are and firing up those x6 wok burners for your delicious sweet chilli crab.

Held at The Moorings Lake House. , the setting, detail and atmosphere created something far beyond a food event, it felt like a true celebration of Mid North Coast culture and community 🌾

We are only just getting started. Shuck & Shell will continue to grow, drawing guests from across Australia to experience the raw beauty, produce and people of the Barrington Coast A big thank you to our major sponsor Destination NSW without there regional event grant we would not have been able to get this event off the ground. We’re set on a private nine acre lakefront organic farm peninsula just three and a half hours north of Sydney. We have over two hundred metres of water frontage and are surrounded by a national park wilderness only moments from Blueys Beach, Boomerang Beach and Seal Rocks.

A day that flowed like a dream beside the lake ✨

Heidi & Luke’s celebration began with welcome drinks on the Wedding Marquee Lawn as guests arrived under soft sunlight and laughter filled the air. The ceremony followed by the water’s edge, a gentle breeze carrying the sound of vows across the lake.

As golden light settled over the afternoon, guests gathered for cocktail hour and live tunes in the Lakefront Marquee before an elegant dinner beneath the Hamptons-style marquee canopy. The night came alive in the Rainbow Room where the hardwood dance floor glowed and the celebration flowed long into the evening.

Every moment felt effortless and full of joy, the kind of day that reminds us why love and nature belong together here at The Moorings Lakehouse 🤍
