"Barhalioun" My Ancient Village.

From Phoenician, Roman, Crusader and Turkish ruins to the memorial plaques left by serving Australian and French ADF, stationed in the 1900's, my ancestral village is no longer Ancient.

The story of occupation and foreign influence is not immune to one country!

Without those influences, we would not be who we are today, 'nor' would the positive contributions from those who passed before us, be recognised.

As to our Barhalioun ancestors, the legacy of today's sons and daughters, will also be etched in the foundations of those ancient stone terrace walls and for my immediate family, it's the "Maasra".

*Maasra Progress Update*

After a small break, it was great to get the drone back up at Maasra Apartments Coorparoo. The footage taken early September, shows we are entering the last stretch.

With the scaffold continuing to come down, every day Maasra is revealing more of its elegant façade.

Our stonemasons are working tirelessly in the Atrium, installing the limestone façade and olive press (The Maasra) and “wow” doesn’t it look magnificent.

Imported from mountains of Lebanon, the hand crafted limestone makes you feel like you are walking through the 8000 year old cobblestone streets of Byblos.

“Yes, we’ll still be sipping champagne by the pool, soon”
