Had a couple of big days putting up a spa fence. Firstly had to turn the Spa to face the view. Then frameless glass in front and along the side. Across the back it was decided to use a budget friendly black aluminium pool fence.
Now it’s safe and looks great. Just needs water and plumbing, should be ready to go in time for a 9yo pool party in a weeks time.

With no rubbish tip on the island it can be hard to get rid of your junk.
You can get a skip and load it up yourself, but how big do you need? Then you will spend the weekend working. You can stack it on the roadside and wait till someone comes.
If you want it gone call me. I will sort it and take recycling to Cowes depot along with garden waste.
And if it has to go to the tip, then I’ll take it to Grantville.

Fixed!!!
This pair of gates had rusted shut. The old hinges no longer moved and 3 out of 4 had broken loose.
Now they open and close, don’t drag along the ground and are secure.

Hear’s a simple one. Very old windows, with some rot. In the mole term they’ll need replacing but in the short term they need saving so they won’t get any worse.
In the past months I have seen and replaced a lot of rotten timber.

About to start on a little porch. Discussing it with the owner, she doesn’t want anything huge or outlandish.
So my son used AI to give her an idea of what she might like. After some discussion she decided a laser light roof and timber construction was the way forward.

Just over a year ago I posted about renewing this brush fence. It looked great. The other day I went past and had a look at how it had changed in a year.
Well other than the grass and some dust it still looks as good as it did the day I did it.

A new tank stand in surf beach.
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the broken and rotten one this replaced. But if you look closely you’ll notice the tank is sitting a little wonky, that’s because the bottom is no longer flat after years or sitting on a stand that was slowly falling apart. It should flatten out as it fill with water.
The old one had similar sides 140x45 but decking boards on the top. The new stand is 140 x45 treated pine top and sides. Not a nail in sight. Every bit screwed with big heavy duty galvanised batten screws.
I won’t be back to replace this any time soon. It’s going to out last me.

There are 2 ways to go about assembling a trampoline, they’re pretty easy once you have done a few, but the translated instructions seem to make it more challenging.
If you’re planning on having a go, allow the best part of a day, and if you get your better half to help then plan for a few sessions of counselling sessions.
The other way is call me and sit back with a cup of coffee, a beer or just go about your day.
Whilst the trampoline came with an assortment of less than great tools, the basketball hoop didn’t come with any. Luckily I have everything needed.
I also chained the trampoline to the ground so it doesn’t end up down the nobbies.

New gates on the side of the house.
If you’re looking for some gates, or to get your gates repaired, realigned or the old posts replaced, then let me know.
I have recently done a load of different gates, including the ones pictured, and plenty more, I did a set driveway set with one large and one small for easy access.
