Today Rick and I return the keys to Vidorra to the new onsite manager Sylvia. We have lived and worked at Vidorra for almost 6 years. We would like to thank our directors for all their support and encouragement and trust. We have so many memories and will be telling stories about our life here for many years to come (Rick thinks I should write a book and you know, now I will have time 😂). We will be staying in the industry as relief management so maybe our paths will cross again? I am sure we will wake up tomorrow morning and think about all the things we have to do at work before we realise we are semi- retired. So thank you to everyone that has been a part of our journey. We have made some really good friends and I will miss taking Rudi for a walk around the complex and it taking me three hours to get back home because of all the chats I have along the way with our residents. All the best to everyone from Rick and I xx

You know we mean business when we have a crane on site. Thank you to our residents for your patience this morning whilst entering and exiting the complex. Also, a big thank you to our residents Brett and Scotty for getting up early to assist us with traffic control we could not have done this without you both.

Work on vital infrastructure for Vidorra has begun after much planning. Whilst the work is being done, it is a dangerous work site. Please respect the signage, do not use the bike track and stay behind the fences.

🐍 Please continue to be alert for snakes at Vidorra. A snake has been spotted at a townhouse at the back of the complex. The best way to deter snakes is to make sure your courtyard and down the sides of your unit are free of rubbish 🐍

Some major upgrades for Alma Road are in the pipeline which includes upgraded footpaths, a roundabout at the dangerous bend, and more street lights. There will also be a new bus stop and additional car parks at the front of Vidorra 🎉🎉🎉

Just received a report of a brown snake sighting at the pool (the one nearest the creek). Please be careful if you are near the pool or near the creek bikeway.

And we have power again (insert happy dance). Now we are just waiting for our bins to be emptied and things will be back to normal again. 😊😊😊

Another day without power 😢 and limited access to mobile phones.

The local tip is open so if you have extra rubbish, please take it there. Remember that the council can refuse to empty a bin that is over full or too heavy (plus we don’t want the local bird life scavenging through the bins). Some local shops are open with limited hours.

Remember that if you need help, please knock on our front door as there has been up to a five hour delays in getting text messages through.
