It’s been almost 12 months since the NSW tenancy law changes came into effect, and we’re now seeing real outcomes from the new reletting exclusion period rules.

In this video, I share 2 real client examples:
One owner who was approved to re-rent earlier after renovations
Another owner whose application was declined and had to wait over 7 months between tenancies

A key takeaway:
The exclusion period starts from the termination notice date, not the date the tenant moves out.

These rules can have a major financial impact if misunderstood, so it’s important for landlords and investors to plan carefully before issuing notice.
