The iconic San Francisco home from ‘Full House’ is on the market for $6.5 million—take a look inside

If you were big fan of “Full House” and have $6.5 million to spare, this new San Francisco listing might just be the one for you.
Located in the city’s Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood, 1709 Broderick Street was once the front door façade for the Tanner family’s home on “Full House,” which aired from 1987 to 1995. It appeared again as the Tanner residence during the Netflix spinoff Fuller House from 2016 to 2020.

Franklin purchased the townhouse in 2016 for $4 million to preserve it for fans but eventually sold it in 2020 for $5.35 million.

CoreLogic Home Value Index rises 1.6% in March quarter, adding around $12k to dwelling values expect Darwin.

CoreLogic’s national Home Value Index (HVI) rose 0.6% in March, on par with February’s increase, taking the current upswing in housing values through its 14th straight month of growth.
Since declining -7.5% between April 2022 and January 2023, the national HVI has increased 10.2%, or, in dollar terms, by approximately $71,832, rising to new record highs each month since November last year.

Every capital city except Darwin (-0.2%) recorded a rise in dwelling values over the month, although CoreLogic’s research director, Tim Lawless, notes the monthly gains continue to be punctuated by diversity.

Darwin Homebuyers Forking Out More For Stamp Duty.

New research has revealed Darwin homebuyers are forking out three times more for stamp duty than a generation ago, as property industry experts call for stamp duty reform.

Research by PropTrack and the e61 Institute found buyers needed $23,900 – or 3.6 months’ worth of average full-time income – to cover the stamp duty for a median-priced home in Darwin.

PropTrack senior economist, Angus Moore, said that figure was 3.1 times higher than 30 years ago.

“In the 1980s, stamp duty for owner occupiers was $1,850 or equivalent to 1.1 months of full-time post-tax income,” he said.
Mr Moore said across Australian a typical stamp duty payment cost around five months of take-home income, which has doubled since the 2000s.

Mr Moore said stamp duty was not only a significant upfront cost but also a barrier to entering the housing market.
“Stamp duty is an inefficient tax because it discourages people from moving to homes that suit them,” he said.

“This burden has increased enormously compared to a generation ago but the rise has largely been incidental, rather than an intentional increase in tax rates.

“Home prices have grown faster than incomes, and stamp duty brackets have not kept up with growing prices.
“Stamp duty reform is critically needed to allow the property market to operate more efficiently.”

Darwin real estate agent loses real estate licence.

A Darwin real estate agent charged with assaulting former Chief Minister Natasha Fyles with a crepe has had her licence revoked after a “witch hunt” against two of her tenants.

Her real estate licence was revoked by the NT Agents Licensing Board for breaching the Residential Tenancies Act and she was also hit with a $10,000 fine.

“Milgate in her personal capacity should not be in charge of a real estate agency,” the board said.
