Derby is approximately 1.5 hours from Launceston, and 1 hour from St Helens, in Tasmania’s beautiful north east. Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the village main street, and a shor

t bike ride from the start of the soon to be completed Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, Cascade Cottage overlooks a picturesque and peaceful valley. It is surrounded by well maintained gardens and has several areas to sit and enjoy the views, and the tranquillity. The cottage sleeps 4, with a queen size bed and 2 singles, with all linen supplied. For an additional cost, a separate loft room is available which can accommodate 3, with a single and a double bed. Cascade Cottage has two sitting rooms, a fully self contained and well equipped kitchen with large gas range, fridge, microwave, water filter and espresso machine. There are two decks, (one covered,) with gas BBQ and outdoor setting. There is a large laundry, and plenty of secure storage for bikes or other equipment. The start of the Blue Derby Bike Trails is just a few minutes from the house, meaning once the car is unpacked, it is not needed until departure time, so no riding time lost! With electric heating to keep the house warm, and electric blankets on all beds, cold weather is no concern. A good collection of DVD’s, books and games are provided for your enjoyment. A vegetable garden provides a variety of herbs and vegetables, depending on the time of the year. Guests are invited to help themselves to anything ready for use, if they so desire.
