We’re so humbled by the support we received in opening the garden at the weekend. It was hot and it’s oh, so dry… but we’re so, so grateful for everybody that turned up.
Around 800 people attended the open garden over 2 days, we’re still finalising numbers - but with gate takings, donations, raffle ticket sales and online contributions this has generated around $6000 for the Cancer Council!!
We’d like to say a huge thanks to Maurean & John Brand and Dean Hateley for all their help preparing the garden under challenging circumstances recently. Throughout the weekend a small army came together to make it happen, big thanks to Sam & Steph Bennett, Sarah, Tony & Matilda Brand, Kim & Chris Munro, Wayne & Narelle Berge, Mary Luetchford and John and Maurean for their hard work!
Thanks to Amy's Country Café - Allora for keeping us all fed and watered - and to The Grove Country Gardens for coming along with plant sales.
A number of people and businesses donated to the raffle. This was well supported and we had some very happy winners. Thank you so much!
A lot of people have asked - when is the next open garden.? To be brutally honest; we don’t know what lies ahead but one things is for sure - we are feeling the love and support of a fabulous community and we’re so, so grateful. Thank you!
