Tasmania Police advise all motorists to reconsider all non essential travel. If you’re in an area that is affected by intense rains and flooding – please restrict all non-essential travel.
If it’s essential to travel on the roads – to safely evacuate an area – drive with extreme caution, and never attempt to drive through or enter flood waters.

Water On Road ☔️
* Blessington Road at The Ballroom.
* Cradle Mountain Road at Erriba – water on road 200mm deep
* Esk Main Road, Avoca- water on the road approximately 6km east of Avoca.
* High Street, East Launceston.
* Invermay Road near St Finn Barrs Scholl.
* Lilydale Road at Rocherlea near Fingerpost, water and flood debris on road.
* ParklandsParade, Newnham.
* Poatina Road between Cressy Road and Saundridge Road
* Poatina Road at Blackwood creek bridge – water flowing over bridge – closure impending
* Station Road, St Leonards – Caution in the area. Signage in place.
Hazardous Roads/Trees over roads 🚫
* Somerset, Bass Highway – Cam River Bridge has been reduced to one lane of traffic due to flood damage, motorists will exprience delays and should consider an alternate route during peak travel periods. The alternate Route is Ridgley Highway and Murchison Highway via the Hellyer Gorge. Motorists cannot divert through Oonah Road as that is closed due to flooding.

* Bridle Track Road from Railton Road, Kimberley to Stoodley Road.
* Browns Creek Road, at Bakers Beach end and York Plains – passable however caution urged due to fallen trees partially blocking the roadway.
* Brockley Road, Buckland
* Chromys Road, Takone.
* Cressy Road at Lees Bridge.
* East Parade Deloraine, near East Barrack Street.
* Frankford Road – Bakers Beach Road due to bridge damage
* Glen Gala Road, Cranbrook – Due to flooding
* Grange Road, Swansea – Due to flooding
* Jones Road Liffey – open to residents only.
* Kellys Cage Road, Weegena.
* Lake Augusta Road.
* Lees Bridge, Cressy.
* Lewis Road – Bridge.
* Liffey Road, near Gulf Road, Bridge washed away.
* Loongana Road is closed from Maxfields Rd junction to the Leven River Bridge
* Lower Beullah Road – between Buellah Back road and Bridle Track Road.
* Meander Valley Road, Between Hadspen and Bass Highway Launceston turn off – re-opened – use CAUTION.
* Merseylea Road, Railton from Cleary Road to Native Plains Road.
* Mount Arthur Road, Patersonia.
* Myella Road between Myalla and Lapoinya Road.
* Old Coach Road, Cranbrook – Due to flooding
* Oonah Road, Highclere, from Guide Falls intersection for 1.8km to the quarry turn-off.
* Oonah Road, from the Douglas Road turnoff for a distance of approx. 1km – Due to lands slips and road subsidence.
* Poatina Road, road closed to ‘through traffic’ from Arthurs Lake Road to Poatina Village. ‘Local traffic’ only to Cramps Bay (please do not drive further). Drive with CAUTION.
* Raymond Road between Preston Road and Gunns Plains Road.
* Rebecca Road, Temma.
* River Road, Wivenhoe. South of Main Road.
* Rookery Road, Loira Between Browns Road and Crawfords Road under water.
* Rosevale Road, Bicheno – Due to flooding
* Second River Road between Golconda Road and Tip Road.
* Security Road – Bridge.
* Smarts Hill Road, Wynyard, Deep Creek Road end.
* Sunset Boulevard, Clarence Point.
* Tasman Highway, Springfield between the Sidling and Whish-Wilson Road.
* Underwood Road, Underwood – Due to Landslip.
* Waddamana Road – From the Swinging Bridge
