We asked Tom and Madeline a few questions to get to know them better — here’s what they had to say.

Hotondo Homes is locally owned and operated by Tom and Madeline Heard, who bring hands-on experience, local knowledge, and a passion for building quality homes for families across the region.

Tom is a registered builder and oversees construction, trades and quality across their projects, while Madeline manages sales, pre-construction, planning, design modifications and colour selections.
They’re supported by their local team of staff, trades and suppliers, along with the resources and buying power of the national Hotondo Homes network. It gives their clients the benefit of building with a local team who are directly involved in their home, backed by an established national brand.

What makes Hotondo Homes Warragul different?
“One of our biggest differences is flexibility. Our floor plans are a starting point rather than something clients have to accept exactly as drawn. We can modify layouts, move walls, change room sizes, alter façades and work with the individual characteristics of the block.
We also focus on providing realistic pricing from the beginning. Our standard homes already include features such as solar, Colorbond roofing, 7-star energy compliance and Dowell ThermaLine thermally broken double-glazed windows, rather than starting with a very basic specification and adding these items later. Most importantly, we’re a local builder. We deliberately keep our build numbers manageable so Tom and our team can maintain a high level of involvement and quality control throughout construction.”

What types of homes or designs are you currently specialising in?
“We build everything from compact family homes through to larger lifestyle and acreage-style homes. We are seeing particularly strong interest in larger family homes with generous open-plan living areas, large kitchens and butler’s pantries, multiple living spaces, outdoor entertaining and good separation between parents’, children’s and guest zones. We also do a significant amount of work modifying existing Hotondo designs to better suit individual blocks, orientation, views and the way our clients want to live.”

“Our current promotions change throughout the year, so we would recommend contacting our Warragul team for the latest offers available when you are ready to build.
