Born in Malaysia, grew up in both Malaysia and Singapore with university studies in Tasmania, Sharon speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, and Malay. Exposed to Malaysia’s and Singapore’s diverse multicultural society from a young age, she knows that understanding cultural differences is crucial for successful outcomes. She feels a connection and understanding of her clients and quickly gains a sense of how she can help them, while building their relationship based on trust, high ethical standards, great communication, accurate, and true transparency. After graduating in Accounting & Finance from the University of Tasmania, Sharon worked in the banking industry, Hong Leong bank Malaysia, where she worked as Internal Auditor and then promoted to Internal Audit Executive where she leads teams to perform special review and investigation, ad-hoc audit for branches at risk, and ensuring quality reporting and deliverables at Group level in the area of banking, insurance, and stock broking. She fully understands her fiduciary duty as a real estate agent, privacy of her clients, and her duty and practice that is guided by care, transparency, and integrity. After 3 years in banking industry, she returned to Singapore to take up the position of Internal Audit Executive at Dairy Farm, a listed company with over 10,000 outlets with total annual sales exceeding US$28 billion. She overlooks, supervises and executes operational audits for five retail banners under Diary Farm: Cold Storage supermarket, Shop N Save, Giant, Guardian and 7-Eleven. Before departing to Australia, Sharon was a Senior Executive at Nam Fatt Corporation Berhad, a listed company that engages in investment holding and construction of bridges, heavy concrete foundations, roads, factory complexes, oil & gas pipelines, golf resort, and other similar construction activities. Her auditor background in multiple listed companies in different countries with diverse portfolio allow her to have exposure to multi-disciplines business, some in construction and real estate, and a broad network of elite contacts. The work experience makes her an incisive strategic thinker with a steadfast commitment to provide exceptional client service. Outside of work, Sharon loves spending time with her husband Sui and her two children Tiffany and Ethan.
