I mentioned Royal Symphony’s daughter Royal Sway, winning at Morphetteville recently. Well, she’s done it again this afternoon. Royal Sway is obviously a very talented filly.

I must acknowledge the life of Max Rawlings who died recently. In the 60’s and 70’s , Max was an excellent racehorse trainer who we were well connected with. Max and Pat used to visit us here at home and we were always welcomed at their Cranbourne home and stables. Max trained many of our horses. He was particularly good at preparing hurdlers. One mare that I remember was Belle Landy. She was placed many times, including 2 hurdle race placings at Moonee Valley. Max then handed her on to us and she did well as a broodmare with us. Another memory is that a very young Phillip Roost was invariably with him ( that’s another story).. R.I.P Max.

Our Tagaloa-So Foxy yearling filly’s full sister, Aliquam, added to her impressive record with yet another victory at the Sunshine Coast this afternoon. This takes her record to 3 wins and 2 placings from 11 starts (plus a 4th at Eagle Farn)!!

Our Royal Symphony yearling filly’s sire has a promising 3yo filly in Royal Sway. She won at Morphetteville this afternoon taking her record to 2wins and a Morphetteville 2nd from 5 starts. Royal Symphony hasn’t had many runners so far but they show promise!!

Oh wow!!! Our Redente-Nudgerama’s close relative, Sizzleist , was sold today on the Inglis On-Line Sale for $18,000- ( to a part-owner or 2).. She is a runner at Albury tomorrow, race 5, horse 1, where the new owners obviously expect to recoup their outlay!!

The very impressive Redente-Nudgerama 2yo filly that we have for sale gained a further boost at the recent Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, deemed the top echelon southern hemisphere yearling sale. Lot 304, a Toronado-Falconry c**t is a very close relation of our filly. Offered by Yarraman Park Stud, Scone, he was purchased by Hannover Lodge NSW for $400,000- . Situated at Wilberforce, Hannover’s advertising “catchcry” is “Preparing the Elite Racehorse”. Let’s hope that this Toronado-Falconry c**t becomes just that”!!

A great start to the weekend for top sire Tagaloa. After a few placegetters yesterday, his classy daughter, Spicy Lu, was scratched from the Australasian Oaks today to win the LR Princess Stakes at Eagle Farm. Then, the full-sister to our Tagaloa yearling filly, Aliquam, flashed home to run 2nd at the Sunshine Coast. Rock on tomorrow, Tagaloa!!

Our Royal Symphony yearling filly was very pleased today when her sire, Royal Symphony, picked up a double, Royal Sway winning at Donald then Dance Gavin Dance winning at Ballina. This win by Gavin, followed up his last start victory also at Ballina. Royal Sway “put the writing on the wall “ with a previous start 2nd at Morphetteville. Sent out favourite at Donald, he won convincingly.
