This property owners fridge had a chilled water dispenser. A plumber was contacted when it stopped working. Plumber told home owner to contact insurance company as he found mould behind fridge. The owners didnt realise the damage to the flooring.
Resulting damage meant that the floating floor was mould affected and removed, carpenter had to remove cupboards that were also non restorable. Plaster walls were removed and mould remediation completed under containment.
An annual inspection from Pin Point Water Damage and Mould may have been able to identify what would have been a very slow leak over some time. Our moisture reading and thermal imaging equipment would have picked up the damage to the floating floor and identify the mould behind the fridge.

Another burst flex hose in the kitchen, flooding under island bench and damaging the hardwood timber floor boards. The use of heat mats help dry floor boards to prevent mould and mitigate further damage.
Some timber flooring needs up to 3 seasons (9 months)to equlize moisture in the timber before they can be sanded back and re fininshed.
This could be prevented with a simple inspection by us!
