And yes, tax benefits are an important consideration for investors.

But here’s the thing…

Property investing was never just about negative gearing.

Let’s look at the numbers.

I’ve pulled together examples of properties that have sold and are now achieving rental yields of around 4–5%+.

That means the property isn’t simply sitting there costing the owner money every week, it is generating a strong rental return while the investor also holds an asset with the potential for long-term capital growth.

The right property, purchased at the right price and managed properly, can still be a very powerful investment.
