'Nanekine' - Mingenew

3,392ha Total Hectares | 2,717 Arable Hectares

Proven grain growing & mixed farming reliability

Key highlights;

• 2,717 arable hectares in the sought-after Mingenew / Holmwood district.
• Predominantly red loam, gravel loam and sandy loam soils.
• Approximately 24,324 tonnes of limesand applied since 2006.
• Productive broadacre cropping country with mixed farming capability.
• Established operational infrastructure suitable for large-scale farming.
• Two homes plus seasonal workers accommodation.
• Reliable bore water and reticulated supply throughout the property.
• Sealed road frontage and convenient access to Mingenew and Geraldton.
• Long term annual (mean) average rainfall of 346mm, with 272mm GSR.

‘Nanekine’ presents an opportunity to secure the original holding of a renowned aggregation in a highly regarded district of Western Australia's Northern Wheatbelt.

Comprising 2,717 arable hectares, the property combines productive cropping soils, reliable water infrastructure and an established operational base within a proven broadacre farming region.

Located approximately 34 kilometres north-east of Mingenew and 134 kilometres south-east of Geraldton, ‘Nanekine’ benefits from excellent access to strategic CBH facilities, farm services and export infrastructure, while a sealed road through the property supports efficient movement of machinery, inputs and grain.

The gently undulating landscape is mainly comprised of red loam, gravel loam and sandy loam soils, with lesser areas of clay loam. Significant investment has been made in soil improvement, including the application of approximately 24,324 tonnes of limesand since 2006 (an average rate of 8.95t/ha), with the majority applied over the past decade.

The property has also benefited from ongoing agronomic practices focusing on improving soil fertility and water use efficiency that now underpin the 5-year average wheat yield of 3.06t/ha.

Paddock layouts have been progressively improved to suit modern broadacre machinery, creating an efficient and productive farming unit.

As the original holding of the Nanekine aggregation, the property contains the principal infrastructure and accommodation for the farming operation. Improvements are functional, well maintained and capable of supporting a substantial broadacre enterprise from day one.

Two quality homes, seasonal workers accommodation, a 575-tonne fertiliser shed, machinery shedding, workshop facilities, grain storage, a four-stand shearing shed and adjoining 1,000-head steel sheep yards combine to provide a practical and efficient operational base.

While a laneway system further enhances livestock management and stock movement across the property, sheep have been excluded since early 2024.

Water is supplied via three equipped bores, including electric and solar-powered submersible systems, supported by an extensive reticulation network servicing the property's paddocks. Fencing throughout is of a high standard, with all newer sections constructed using galvanised posts and ringlock fencing.

Offering scale, productivity and a proven history of investment in both land and infrastructure, ‘Nanekine’ represents an opportunity to secure a quality broadacre holding in one of the Northern Wheatbelt's most respected farming districts.

This property is well suited to existing farming businesses seeking reliable expansion, or a relocation opportunity with solid foundations.

‘Nanekine’ is offered for sale via formal offers to purchase with a price guide of $15,000,000.

For Lease - Selected Properties of ‘Undarra Farms’ 🌾🌱

Significant scale & cropping efficiency in the heart of the Mid West.

These adjoining and highly efficient cropping properties are located 20km* south of Mingenew and comprise of 6,555* arable hectares of predominantly stronger yellow & medium textured sandplain soils, as well as lesser areas red loam, sand over gravel, gravel loam and lighter sand.

•‘Wicks’ (1220ha arable) – Strong to medium textured yellow sandplain, sand over gravel & lighter sand.

•‘South Undarra’ (1150ha arable) – Sand over gravel & strong to medium yellow sandplain.

•‘East Undarra’ (730ha arable) – Red loam, strong to medium textured sandplain.

•‘Ebano’ (1815ha arable) – Strong yellow sandplain & gravel loam.

•'Peros' (1640ha arable) – Strong to medium yellow sandplain, sand over gravel & gravel loam.

Cropping efficiency is the cornerstone of the broader aggregation, with AB lines commonly exceeding 3km on a flat to gently undulating landscape. According to Bureau of Meteorology records, the 10-year annual rainfall average is 436mm*, with growing season rainfall totals ranging from a high of 478mm in 2025, to a low of 198mm in 2019.

All properties have been meticulously farmed with the attention to detail evident in their presentation, nutrition strategies & the owners focus on soil amelioration. More specifically, all sandplain soils have been mouldboard ploughed with dolomite incorporation, sound phosphate and potassium rates are applied annually (including trace element applications) and modern chemistry is utilised for effective w**d control. These factors all underpin strong production records for primarily wheat and canola.

The lease period is three years, commencing on or before 15th March 2026 and concluding on 31st December 2028. ‘Lease by Tender’ submissions are to be received no later than 5pm Wednesday 4th March 2026. The properties can be leased as a whole aggregation or as individual farms at the discretion of the Lessors.

The properties are being offered for lease to enable the owners to pursue interests outside of their farming business, however they will continue to actively farm a portion of their broader aggregation.

The owners look forward to appointing highly capable Lessee’s who take a long-term view of farming, exhibit best practice management of their own businesses and who’ll be sound custodians of these highly productive assets.
