695 head were yarded at the Gloucester Store Sale yesterday, with demand remaining strong and females selling particularly well.

The female offering attracted plenty of competition, with heifers topping at $1,800 and averaging $1,092.23. Cows sold to $2,300, averaging $1,594.04, while cows & calves reached $2,620 and averaged $2,042.16.

Steers were well supported, selling to a top of $2,300 and averaging $1,437.

Overall, a strong sale with good buyer interest and solid results across the yarding.

🟨 GLOUCESTER STORE CATTLE MARKET REPORT 🟨

Rain breathes life into the market, with the welcome fall across the district bringing renewed confidence and helping push the Gloucester store cattle market dearer. Good local demand was evident throughout, with strong competition across the yarding.

Steers were strongly sought after, with 152 head averaging $1,431 and topping at $2,425.

Heifers met good competition, with 100 head averaging $979 and selling to a top of $1,400.

Cows and calves were a highlight, with 43 units averaging $2,580 and topping at $3,050.

Cows were well supported, averaging $1,515 and reaching a top of $1,700.

With buyers active throughout the sale, quality cattle were readily absorbed and vendors were rewarded with a very solid result.
