A proud moment for six of our team, who recently returned to New Zealand to celebrate the completion of their Bachelor of Surveying degree at the University of Otago.

As part of our Graduate Program, these emerging professionals are already making meaningful contributions across projects, building capability, gaining hands-on experience and learning from experienced mentors across the business.

Supporting early career development is something we value deeply at Bennett + Bennett, and it’s fantastic to see our graduates recognised for all the hard work that has brought them to this moment.

Stage 1 Plan Sealing for 130 Residential Lots

A great result for the Bennett + Bennett Surveying and Development Compliance teams alongside our client, Bespoke. Our clients project in Rochedale has successfully achieved plan sealing endorsement for Stage 1, delivering 130 Residential lots.

This project came with a few challenges along the way, including a long gap between construction completion and lodgement, plus a change in ownership during the project.
We’re excited to see the project successfully endorsed in April 2026 - a fantastic outcome and a big team effort from everyone involved!

From early planning through to recent reconfiguration works, survey and plan sealing, and now supporting the latest sales campaign with contract plans, our team has been proud to play an ongoing role in bringing this landmark development to life.

Our team recently enjoyed a fantastic evening connecting with clients, consultants and industry peers at the Wankernomics comedy show at the Powerhouse. The evening had the team all laughing at the quirks of office life and the jargon we know all too well.

It was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, strengthen relationships and share a few laughs with colleagues from SKF Development, Metro - Developments, C2 Architecture and DPM QLD.

We are now looking forward to “leveraging the synergies” and “driving collaborative outcomes” together…

Great to see our team at the Leica Future Forum in Brisbane last week, connecting with industry peers and exploring the technologies, workflows and ideas shaping the future of surveying.

Across the two days, conversations spanned everything from laser scanning, mobile reality capture and the latest Leica hardware through to AI-assisted workflows, digital engineering and cloud-based data management, with strong discussion around how the industry is shifting from capturing data to managing, validating and delivering ever-larger and more complex datasets.

A few themes our team is bringing back:
💠 Data capture is fast becoming the simple part - the real challenge and opportunity sits in QA, processing and delivery of bigger, more complex datasets
💠 Software, integration and cloud-connected workflows are now just as important as the hardware itself when it comes to efficiency and accuracy
💠 Staying at the forefront takes curiosity and collaboration with peers, suppliers and manufacturers, because there is always another way to do something better.

Airports are some of the most complex environments to survey, where accuracy, speed and minimal disruption to operations are critical.

At Brisbane Airport’s International Terminal, Bennett + Bennett delivered a comprehensive spatial dataset for the landside precinct using a combination of mobile laser scanning and terrestrial laser scanning. This approach enabled rapid capture of high-resolution data across the precinct without the need for traffic control or lane closures, a key advantage in a busy airport environment.

The resulting point cloud captured detailed ground and vertical information across roads, structures and building facades, providing design teams with reliable spatial data to support planning and coordination.

With Brisbane Airport continuing to evolve through the $5 billion Future BNE program, precinct-wide upgrades are reshaping passenger experience and supporting future growth. Bennett + Bennett brings the technology, methodology and operational experience required to deliver accurate survey data in these complex, live environments.
