Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures, and a special thought for those of us remembering ours today.

There are so many things I remember about my Dad, but one piece of advice has stayed with me throughout my life:

“When you tell the truth, you never have to remember what you said.”

Simple words, but ones I’ve carried with me in life and in business. Integrity matters. Your word matters. And doing the right thing matters, even when no one is watching.

16 years on, I still miss him and remain grateful for the lessons he left behind.

The Royal Australian Navy’s HMAS Diamantina (II) would like to invite the whole Gold Coast community to a very special Sunset Ceremony – SATURDAY ONLY!

📍 Where: Jack Gordon Park, Main Beach (next to Southport Yacht Club’s Mega Yacht Berth)
⏰ When: Saturday 5th September, Around 5PM

✨ This is a truly unique opportunity to see an Australian Navy ship dressed in lights and flags, as the crew conduct their official Sunset Ceremony, complete with gunfire salutes – a spectacular and memorable occasion for the whole family.

⚓ Commissioned in 2002, HMAS Diamantina (II) is one of six Huon Class Minehunter Coastal vessels, specifically designed for Australian conditions with world-leading mine-hunting capabilities.
