It took a quite few years to bring this garden back to life.
Planted in honour of a local lady by her family it had suffered greatly and much of it had died off previous to us purchasing the property in 2013.
Extensive landscaping and regeneration including the replanting of thousands of bulbs now sees it in its full glory and October is the time when the 100 year old Judas tree is in full bloom🌸

The Tasting Table at the Steel Cutters Cottage was a gastronomic highlight of our road trip and hiking 🥾 and camping 🏕weekend in the . Just look at that board of perfectly made and presented morsels. Smoked salmon rillette, pork terrine, chicken pate with a Sauvignon Blanc jelly, pickled onions, whole mini loaf of sourdough, semi-dried figs etc. It was magnificent and the service was spectacular yet it was all so simple. Sadly, it won’t be around for long as this family run show will pack up and move to France as soon as they sell the house. Anyone looking for a hospitality tree-change?
