Did you know .....
Wiz Arboriculture, provides quality and professional - Tree Risk Assessments - within the Central West NSW.

What is a Tree Risk Assessment ?
A tree risk assessment is a professional evaluation of a tree (or trees) to determine the potential risk they pose to people, property, or infrastructure.
The goal is to assess whether a tree is likely to fail (or a part of it, like a branch) and, if it does, what the consequences might be.

Tree Risk
- Refers to the potential for a tree (or part of it) to fail and cause harm to people, property, or other valuable targets.
Managing tree risk is crucial, especially in urban and developed areas, because while trees provide many benefits (shade, beauty, habitat, etc.), they can also pose hazards if not properly maintained or monitored.

Common Tree Risk Factors
- Dead or dying branches, cracks or splits in the trunk or branches, root damage or decay, leaning trees, fungal or biological factors, recent storm damage, recent flooding.

Do i need a Tree Risk Assessment ?
- Trees can fail unexpectedly due to a range of factors. An assessment identifies potential hazards before they become emergencies.

Safety:
To prevent accidents or injuries caused by falling trees or branches.

Liability Protection:
To reduce the risk of legal or insurance issues if a tree causes damage or injury.

Cost-Effective:
Identifying and addressing issues early can save money compared to dealing with the aftermath of a tree failure.

Tree Health:
It helps maintain the health and longevity of trees, guiding proper maintenance.
Urban Planning:

For municipalities or businesses, it's part of managing urban trees and ensuring public safety.

Have you had your trees looked at by an Arborist recently ?

Artificial Hollow Installation

The significance of hollows in trees cannot be overstated.
These natural cavities serve as vital habitats for a diverse range of wildlife, including birds, mammals, and insects.
They provide essential nesting sites, shelter, and food sources, contributing to the overall biodiversity of forest ecosystems.
Additionally, tree hollows play a crucial role in the decomposition process, facilitating nutrient cycling and promoting soil health.
Their presence enhances the ecological balance, making them an integral component of healthy forest environments

Artificial hollows in trees refer to man-made cavities created within the trunks or branches of trees.
These hollows are often designed to provide habitats for various wildlife species, enhance biodiversity, or facilitate specific ecological functions.
They can be formed through various methods, including drilling, carving, or other techniques that mimic natural processes.
The creation of artificial hollows aims to support conservation efforts and promote the health of forest ecosystems.

Wiz Arboriculture teamed up with Lodge Environmental to carve some new hollows in a variety of species of Eucalyptus and Corymbia on private property.

52 New artificial hollows installed in around 25-30 trees.
Heights ranged from 4mtrs - 15mtrs.
Varied sizes and depths .
Specific target hollows.
